THE ROOTS OF A DREAM

Long before Tennessee was a reality, it was a story told in the quiet moments of my childhood. My Daddy didn't just talk about the land; he described the feeling of it—the way the air changed at dusk and the stillness that comes with wide-open spaces. He spoke of a life where community meant something and neighbors were like family. These weren't just descriptions; they were the seeds of a vision that stayed with me through every stage of my life in California.

I built a successful life in the West, but I always felt like a piece of the puzzle was missing. California was where I worked, but Tennessee was where my heart expected to find its home. I carried his dream like a compass, always pointing me toward a horizon I hadn't yet seen. It was this deep-seated narrative that eventually gave me the courage to book that six-day trip—a trip intended for closure that instead opened a doorway I never expected to walk through.

“Before Tennessee was a location, it was a legacy.”

A DREAM, A PORCH & A STORY ONLY GOD COULD WRITE

My life began in Southern California, but my heart was always being prepared for something else. Growing up, I watched my parents work hard, but my Daddy had a quiet longing that he shared with me often. He dreamed of us living in Tennessee, in the country, with a wraparound porch overlooking a beautiful country view. That dream became the backdrop of my childhood conversations, a seed planted deep in the soil of my soul. He spoke of the peace, the community, and the simple beauty of the South. Life, however, has a way of taking its own path. Years passed, I built a career in California, but that whisper of Tennessee never truly silenced.

SIX DAYS THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

It was supposed to be a short trip—just six days to visit friends and finally see Tennessee, the place my Daddy had always dreamed of calling home. But something about Tennessee captured my heart. Before long, I found a home in the country and decided to take a chance on a new adventure. There was just one thing missing—the wraparound porch I had always dreamed of.That search for someone to build my porch led me to interview a local contractor named John. What began as a simple conversation about construction turned into hours of talking, and for the next three months, we talked and got to know each other from miles apart. When I finally made the move into my new Tennessee home, John was there—building the wraparound porch that had started it all. I came to Tennessee chasing a dream I had shared with my Daddy, never imagining that along the way, God had an entirely different chapter waiting for me.

THE DREAM HE NEVER GOT TO SEE

When I told my Daddy I had bought a home in Tennessee, I couldn’t wait to tell him about the wraparound porch I planned to build—the kind of porch he had always dreamed of having. It felt like a little piece of his dream was finally going to come true. Then, just two days after Thanksgiving, my Daddy suddenly passed away. Only four days later, I boarded a plane to Tennessee to receive the keys to my new home. What should have been one of the happiest moments of my life was now wrapped in grief. He would never get to sit with me on that porch or see the Tennessee life we had talked and dreamed about. But I still wanted to build that porch. It became more than an addition to a house—it became a way of carrying my Daddy’s dream with me into this new chapter of my life.

“My Daddy never got to sit with me on that porch. But his dream made it there.”

THEN I HIRED A CONTRACTOR...

“I thought I was hiring someone to build a porch. Apparently, God had other plans.”

I needed that wraparound porch. It wasn't just an addition to a house; it was the completion of a promise. I interviewed several people, but then I met John. He was a local contractor, steady and skilled, and he understood exactly what that porch meant to me. As the pillars went up and the floorboards were laid, something else was being built, too. We spent hours talking about life, dreams, and the hills we were looking at. I realized that my move to Tennessee wasn't just about a change of scenery. It was about a total transformation of my heart.

“Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the man who was building my Daddy’s dream.”

THE PORCH WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING

John and I were married right there on the property that had brought us together, surrounded by the beautiful Tennessee countryside I had come to love. Standing on that land, I couldn’t help but think about how differently life had unfolded from anything I could have planned. My Daddy never had the opportunity to sit with me on the wraparound porch he had dreamed about for me. But his dream made it there. What began as a promise between a father and daughter became part of a much bigger story—one that brought me home, brought John into my life, and gave me roots in a community I now deeply love.

“I came to Tennessee for an adventure. What I found was home—and a life I never could have planned for myself.”

That journey taught me that home isn't just a place—it's where life's most meaningful moments begin. That's why I became a Realtor: to help others find the place where their own story can unfold.

“I thought I was hiring someone to build a porch. Apparently, God had other plans.”

Determined to honor the dream my Daddy and I shared, I began searching for someone to build the wraparound porch we had envisioned for my Tennessee home. That search led me to John, a local contractor I initially contacted simply to talk about blueprints and construction. What began as conversations about a porch gradually became conversations about life, family, faith, and dreams. Over the months, while I was still making the transition from California to Tennessee, hundreds of miles separated us—but something unexpected was beginning.By the time I finally made Tennessee home, John was already there, helping bring my Daddy’s dream to life. I thought I had simply hired someone to build a porch. I had no idea God was writing a much bigger story.

FROM FINDING HOME TO HELPING OTHERS FIND THEIRS

My own journey taught me that finding a home is about so much more than a house. It’s about finding the place where your life can unfold—where memories are made, families gather, and new chapters begin. That experience is what ultimately led me to real estate. Today, I have the privilege of helping others navigate their own journeys—whether they’re buying their first home, selling a place filled with memories, relocating to Middle Tennessee, or simply searching for a place that finally feels like home.I know what it feels like to stand at the beginning of a major life change with excitement, questions, and uncertainty. That’s why I approach every client with personal attention, honest guidance, and the understanding that behind every move is a story that matters.

WHY YOUR STORY MATTERS TO ME

“Because I know firsthand that sometimes you’re not just looking for a house. You’re looking for the place where the next chapter of your life will begin.”

“Looking out across this Tennessee countryside, I sometimes think about how one dream can change the course of an entire life. What began as my Daddy’s dream of a little place in Tennessee with a wraparound porch eventually became my home, my family, and a life I never could have planned for myself. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to help other people find the place where their own story could begin.”

Every move has a story behind it. Maybe you’re buying your first home, searching for more room for a growing family, selling a place filled with years of memories, or relocating to Middle Tennessee in search of a completely new beginning. Whatever brings you here, I want to understand not only what you’re looking for—but why it matters to you.My goal is to give you honest guidance, personal attention, and someone genuinely in your corner from beginning to end. I’ll listen to what matters most to you, help you navigate the details, and work hard to make the process feel as clear and comfortable as possible.Because finding the right home isn’t only about where you live. It’s about the life you hope to build there.
